Animal Outlines

This is a simple exercise in which pupils may open pictures of animals in Paint or the default paint package. The pictures are designed to be coloured using only the fill tool.

Use the scroll button to select the creature you want to colour, then click on one of the easel buttons to open MS Paint or a different paint package, if there is one configured to edit bitmap images on your PC. You can also right click on the outline picture and select copy to copy it to the clipboard. Use Ctrl-V or paste in your paint package.

The easel buttons only work from within Animals UK but if you are using this exercise from Internet Explorer you can still right click and copy.

The page has the following buttons at left:

• Index Button
  (Left pointing hand symbol) Takes you to the interactive exercise Index page. This will end the exercise and lose any key questions so far entered.
• Help Button
  (Question mark symbol) Gives you help text similar to this.
• Outline selector
  (Double arrow symbol) Cycles through the outline pictures.
• MS paint button
  (Easel symbol with MSP) Opens the outline in Microsoft Paint.
• Other paint button
  (Easel symbol) Opens the outline in the default paint package for bitmap (.bmp) files.
Note: This may also be MS Paint. You can change it from Explorer, Tools\Folder options\File types. Alternatively, open in MS Paint, Select all and copy. Then paste into another package.
