Photosynthesis
This exercise allows pupils to enter short descriptions of how a green plant uses the sun,
the air and the soil to make its own food.
Click on each of the boxes and type a short explanation of how each of these supplies the plant with
something it needs and how photosynthesis uses it to make food for the plant.
When you are happy with your answers, put your name in the box at bottom left and press the print button
to print the page.
If you are viewing this page from Plants UK you may also save your answers and reload them into this page
later using the two lower buttons. This facility is not available if the exercise is opened in Internet Explorer.
The page has the following buttons at left:
- Index Button
(Left pointing hand symbol)
Takes you to the interactive exercise Index page.

- Close Button
(Cross symbol)
Closes interactive exercises and returns you to the main Plants UK form previously open.

- Help Button
(Question mark symbol)
Gives you help text similar to this.
- Print Preview Button
(Page and magnifying glass symbol)
When you print this page only text is printed. This button shows you aproximately how it will look.
- Print Button
(Printer symbol)
Prints a page with just name, date and the text
of your answers. Print is only available when the entries are complete.
- Save Button
(Disk symbol)
Saves your name and text of your answers.
- Load Button
(Opening folder symbol)
Loads previously saved answers.
Note: File save and load buttons are not available if you are running the exercise from
Internet Explorer rather than Plants UK.
